Ferrybank Band Rotunda, Hamilton

On January 28th we photographed the wedding of Charlotte Isaac and Kyle Chuen. After Covid wrecked havoc with their plans, forcing a location move from Paihia to Hamilton, love found a way - and a venue. The Hamilton band rotunda was the perfect setting for their vows, and the Meteor Theatre a fitting location for their reception.

The bride and groom got ready in Raglan. The first look took place on their balcony overlooking the harbour, bringing tears to everyone’s eyes. But it was their gorgeous 18 month old Harry who stole the show, his eyes wide as he took in his mother’s beauty.

Even the leafy green oaks of the Waikato River ferry bank rustled in delight at the emotional ceremony, and the theatre sung with heartfelt speeches, fabulous music, and dancing into the night.

Charlotte and Kyle, your happiness is plain to see. It was an absolute joy to photograph your wedding day. We know there will be many more magical moments to come in your life together. What a privilege to stand so close to the sun.
